Errant Worlds available everywhere

We're thrilled to announce the start of open Beta for Errant Landscape, an Unreal Engine plugin that completely transforms the landscape creation process within the Editor.

Gone are the days of having to bake landscapes in an external program and then import them to Unreal every time a modification is made. With Errant Landscape, you can modify your landscape directly in the Editor, in real-time, in a concurrent and non-destructive manner. This means you can work with the full context of your game objects and textures without wasting time on exports and imports.

But that's not all. Errant Landscape also boasts impressive performance capabilities. It allows for real-time landscape editing on even the largest of maps, thanks to GPU acceleration and highly optimized code. You can use thousands of brushes on a single map without worrying about runtime costs.

With Errant Landscape, you can change any part of the world at any time. Entire mountains can be moved, scaled, and rotated months after they were originally placed. And thanks to the plugin's seamless integration with Biomes, any changes made to the landscape are instantly reflected in the Biomes that cover it.

Another major advantage of Errant Landscape is its support for concurrent editing. Multiple artists can be editing different regions of the landscape at the same time, making collaborative workflows a breeze.

To make things even better, Errant Landscape comes with a library of stamp brushes that you can freely use in your projects. These brushes include various splatmaps/metadata textures that can be used to paint weightmaps and biomes. While the current stamp brush library may be small, we plan to expand it with regular updates, allowing users to create common environments directly within the Unreal Editor without the need for external programs.

Errant Worlds available everywhere

Overall, we believe Errant Landscape radically improves the process of creating large landscapes in Unreal Engine. And with its open Beta now available, we invite you to download the plugin and try it out for yourself!
