Material Masks are graphs that control the logic of how and where Species/Sub-Biome spawns.

You can use all unreal nodes in the graph, just as when creating material keeping just a few limitations in mind.

Biomes plugin provides special metadata parameter nodes that will be automatically set while generating.
📄️ Other Library Nodes
Errant Biomes comes with library of helper nodes for common operations.
📄️ Inter-Mask Dependencies
You can use the output of other material masks as a parameter for your material mask.
📄️ Parameters
You may pass various kinds of inputs to the material masks (such as landscape weightmaps, hand-painted masks, growth of other species, etc)
📄️ Previewing
The best way to preview what your mask is doing is to go into Material Mask Debug Tool by selecting it on the toolbar while in Biomes mode.
